At Centrum we are often brought in by organisations that want to improve the quality of their software deliverables and remove some of the unwanted “excitement” from the delivery process. We love engagements like this because it means that the client understands that there is a cost to neglecting to focus on quality and that they are open to changing processes and tools to move forward and start paying off that technical debt.

Allows the quick assessment of project software quality by providing a view of the most important metrics that the Sonar Opensource Quality platform can provide. For each project configured in your Sonar server it will list the lines of code, code coverage, complexity and rules compliance, provided those metrics exist in Sonar.

XP is about getting the right values and practices and maximize it to the extreme. CODE it's essential and practices like pair programming and unit testing / test driven are a must have. I don't think they are enough, so i like to work a lot with team code reviews and design sessions...
Each Sonar profile defines a collection of rules - checks. The configuration of this profile can dramatically alter the final metrics so it would be better to stick with a profile for the entire lifecycle of a project in order for the metrics to be always relevant.
