by simon brandhof|

The Sonar team is proud to announce the release of Sonar 3.2. This new version includes new features that we believe are worth stopping your daily work for a couple of minutes to check out: improve usability and and speed of administration to increase productivity, new differential period 'Since Previous Version", new rules on coverage, comments...

Selection of Quality Profile by Project Administrators

Through project settings, project administrators can now select the quality profile to be used on their project.

    Bulk Deletion of Projects

To ease clean up, administrators can now delete several projects all together.

    Ability to Change Project Key

This was one of the most voted issue, it is now possible to change the key of a project without losing its history.

New Period 'Since Previous Version' for Differential Views

For each new release, it's likely that you had to update the version number in the project differential views period to keep comparing with the previous version. It is no longer necessary by using 'previous_version' keyword.

New Rules to Define Thresholds on Coverage, Comments, Duplications

Four new rules are available through the new 'Common Sonar' rules repository to check predefined thresholds on those metrics.

Time now to let you give a try to this version 3.2. You can download this new release at http://www.sonarsource.org/downloads/. Please do not forget to read the installation or upgrade guide.
