The Sonar team is proud to announce the release of Sonar 2.9. As usual, this new version includes improvements, bug-fixes and also new features that we believe are worth stopping your daily work for a couple of minutes to check out.

Most of the improvements are this time "under the hood" and can not be shown with screenshots. The two visible parts of the iceberg are improvements of manual code reviews and Quality Profile change logs.

    Manual Code Reviews

Version 2.8 introduced manual code reviews to enable discussing, assigning and disabling violations. This feature has been improved in this new version. Moreover it is even more integrated in the IDE with sonar-eclipse 2.2 that has just been released.

The reviews search engine allows now to sort results. Last comments are also displayed in order to quickly understand reviews without opening details.

False-positives can be listed through the same search engine :

The selection of assignee now uses an ajax box :

    Changelog of Quality Profiles

The new service provides ability to view quality profile changes over time and to replay the past :

Time now to let you give a try to the version 2.9. Release notes are available in the download page. Reading the installation or upgrade guides is much recommended.
